Our Mission:

We are a social and civic group, which sponsors a variety of events throughout the year to generate a sense of friendship and neighborliness. We band together to protect our environment and our people. As residents of Berkeley Shores we have many common interests. We live in the most beautiful waterfront community on the East Coast. Formed in the mid 1980’s, the Berkeley Shores Homeowners' Civic Association, was charged with the task of dealing with all issues involving the protection and improvement of our environment. Membership at BSHCA is a good way to familiarize yourself with the area, its people, restaurants, recreational spots, and points of interest, boating tips, civic events and community concerns. The name of the organization was officially changed to Berkeley Shores Civic Association in 2023.

We are community minded not politically motivated. We face our problems and come up with solutions.

Some of the events we hold throughout the year are:

Memorial Day weekend blessing of the boats, this is a parade of boats through the lagoons and out to the bay to honor our fallen heroes. The members then meet for a picnic on Amherst Beach- this is a great way to meet your neighbors and make some new friends.

At the end of the summer we celebrate together with a dinner dance held at a local restaurant.
